where do i fly into?
You will be flying into Faro Airport (FAO) about 35 minutes drive from the retreat center. Flights to Faro will require a layover Lisbon or other European airport. From Boston, flights will cost $900+, anything under $1200 is a good deal. Currently the most economical choice is a flight to London Gatwick (LGW) then booking your flight to Faro separately with Easy Jet.
What is the weather like?
Algarve in the summer is warm and dry. Expect a sunny weather with a high of 85° during the day and cooler evenings. The ocean temperature in the summer warms up to 65-70°, perfect for a refreshing dip!
What kind of food will be served?
Meals will be farm to table, nutrient-rich, tasty and satisfying! We can accommodate all dietary needs, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, allergies etc. Sample Menu:
Breakfast
Hazelnut and cacao granola, fresh juices, herbal tea and coffee
Lunch
Coconut and tomato chickpea curry with mediterranean vegetables, kale and crispy tofu
Dinner
Spiced pumpkin, ginger and turmeric soup
Pesto chicken with chickpeas, spinach, pomegranate and nut cheese

I don’t have a roommate!
No worries! We have lots of people traveling solo. We’ll be sure to match you with a compatible roommate for the trip. Due to the intimate nature of the yurt and shepherds huts, we recommend booking with a companion if sharing.
Am I too young/old or not ‘good’ enough at yoga to come?
No! We have ages 16 to 80+ on these trips. This is one of the beautiful things about group travel, you get to meet and spend time with people outside of your bubble! The yoga classes will be all levels, with variations given for all abilities.
What should I bring?
The weather is sunny and warm, cooling off in the evening. Bring clothes for yoga, swimsuits, flip flops and a sturdy sandal/shoe for exploring. A few casual outfits for evening dinners and visiting town. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, books/reader, journal. In the bathrooms shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer are provided. Leave your yoga mat at home, the yoga shala is fully stocked.
Ok , Portugal, that’s Europe, right?
Portugal is part of the European Union (EU). To get there you’ll need a valid passport. The currency is Euros. You’ll need some cash for tipping, small purchases etc. You can order currency from your local bank before the trip or use an ATM once arrived. Most shops and restaurants accept credit cards. Bring an outlet adapter for phone chargers and other electronics. There currently no Covid entry requirements for Portugal.
What if I need to cancel?
Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, no exceptions. The final balance is due April 1st, 2023. After the final balance is paid no refunds can be given. You can protect your trip by purchasing trip insurance through a 3rd party provider.
What if borders close again or the retreat is canceled?
If borders close again we will reschedule the retreat for another date. If you are unable to make the new date your deposit and any other payments made will be refunded less credit card processing fees (6%). If the retreat is canceled your deposit and any other payment made will be refunded less credit card processing fees (6%).
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! You can break up the cost of your trip however you need to as long as its paid in full by April 1, 2023.
